- On Saturday, I took my younger one to a playdate at her friend's house from her daycare, and it was a wonderful experience for us. She was playing with her friend, and I was chatting with the parents. They live close by, and we loved their apartment on the 18th floor with a fantastic view of our part of Maryland. The view goes as far as Tysons, Virginia. But the main highlight was the sunset from the 18th floor - it was beautiful.

Today, I presented a paper in our Bioinformatics journal club, and it went well. Better than I thought. I usually do not like journal clubs - they always feel like a chore.
