For the past few weeks, we have been waiting for Dave's Hot Chicken restaurant to open, as we used to see it being constructed across the road every day. Yesterday, it finally opened, although just for a few hours as a training run for today's formal opening. As usual, we were passing by when we saw some people inside the restaurant. We thought it had finally opened, so we should go check it out. It turned out that they were serving free food as part of their training run. We had around $58 worth of food for free. The restaurant is all about fried chicken and fries, and we really liked their seasoning. They have seven levels of spicy. We ordered medium spicy for us and no spice for the kids, but I'm curious to try their hottest chicken. After eagerly waiting for the restaurant to open for the past few weeks, the free food was a reward for our patience. We also liked the graffiti on the inside and outside the restaurant. They hire local artists to draw graffiti as part of their decor. Below are some of the pics from yesterday.
